Billy Lunn KasbahBilly Lunn, lead singer and guitarist of rock band The Subways unplugged his guitar Saturday night and played an acoustic set of some of his band’s classics.

The last time Billy Lunn played at Kasbah with his band he jumped off not one but two of the balconies in the club’s main room. I couldn’t see that happening on this particular night.

With the more than eager and ever growing crowd filling in for the missing Charlotte Cooper (The Subways bassist and vocalist), Billy Lunn played a set that lasted just over three quarters of an hour including, Kiss Kiss Bang BangShake Shake and of course the song for his mum, Mary. A set of songs spanning across their three album catalogue.  And, of course, what’s a night without the band’s top hits, ‘Oh Yeah‘ and ‘Rock and Roll Queen‘. Lunn not skimping out at all on screaming the vocals. It was always going to be an interesting night hearing this man’s voice acoustically.
